Not too long ago, I took an inventory of my life. I looked at everything I had ever done. Next, I looked at my failures and was honest with myself about how I contributed to my failures. Thanks to this process, I came to the realization that during those times, I had not been playing 100% of my game of life.

Next, I looked at others and recognized very few actually play 100% in their games. If a person doesn’t play 100% in the game, chances are they aren’t going to win at whatever they desire. Why don’t people play 100% in their games? The various reasons are too vast to put in a short article but there are a couple basic thoughts that make people hold back. There are some simple things people can do to increase the process of Upgrading Life to the next level.

Number one is that intelligent people are afraid and confused. There is a human tendency for us to hold onto many fears. These fears are all based inside their heads as fantasies. Fear is not real. We create fear in our mind when we think about the future. The first thing do to is to realized what we are afraid of and understand that it is simply something we are making up. Many times we regret past mistakes and the future appears to be very scary. Fear resides in the future. Stay in the present moment.

Intelligent people say, “I’m not afraid of anything. I’m just stressed out.” Stress is the intelligent way of saying “fear.” Others will express their fears as anger. All anger is fear based. When a person gets angry, it is wise for the individual to search within himself to find what the root fear that is causing the anger is. Once the root fear is identified, the individual can work to reason themselves into a more stable reality to reduce the fear and diminish the anger.

A different reason people do not play at 100% in their games is because they only focus on their current limitations to achieve their dreams instead of focusing on their desired results. Every person who has achieved greatness in life, in anything, on any level, ignored why something could not be done. Instead, they chose to sty focused on what they wanted. This shows that intelligent people may actually possess a handicap.

People of intelligence can logically tell you why something can not be done. “Winners” have an advantage. Because they are focusing on what they want, they do not know why something can not be done. They only declare what they want. This unique advantage allows this type of person to do the impossible. Look around you. Many impossible things from light bulbs to planes were discovered by people who did not focus on why something could not be done. They on focused on what they wanted.

By concentrating only on the results we want in our life and not on limitations or obstacles, we will win. We will achieve all of the things others say are impossible. We are also talking about lack of money, time or any other resources

I encourage you to pay attention only to your desired results. Do not pay attention to why something isn’t possible. Ignore your current limitations. When you move forward concentrating on why something can be done and disregard your fears, you will succeed beyond your wildest dreams.

It’s simple when you know the rules, not so simple when you don’t. If you do learn the rules and you play by them, you are guaranteed what you want in life. If I asked you why you want anything in life, what would you say? You’d always come to the same conclusion; to feel better than I do at the moment. You may also be coming to realise that unless you can make steady movement towards what you want in life, you will not be joyful.

The bad news is that you can never regress in life and be a happy person. When you have identified something that you want, you have to move towards that goal or you will feel not feel joyful. Life causes you to expand, to want more, to become more than you were before. You may keep up with this expansion and you may not, it is really up to you. Some go along with the expansion willingly, and live happy lives as a result. Others are more reluctant as they feel the tension between their desires and the life they are living, and they inherently know they should be the expanded evolved person they want to be. Others are convinced that because it feels painful to want, that wanting, in and of itself, is somehow wrong. So they try to reduce their desires. This is an uphill struggle, as life in all of its variety is designed to inspire desire from those who participate in it. It is what expansion of life is all about. These people tend to become resentful at those who want and receive, and always feel a certain amount is missing from their lives as they recognise deep down that they are missing the greater part of themselves elsewhere.

The majority of people do not understand how to play this game called life. In their dis-empowered state they seek to control the circumstances and events of life to feel better, creating laws, rules and regulations from their place of powerlessness. If they understood the rules and were self-empowered, they would start to realise that they need not feel fearful of any other person, because they would understand how they get what they get. They would stop trying to think, and they would feel their way through life.

It may sound paradoxical, but the only way to become self-empowered is actually to relinquish attempted control of the outside world and look inside yourself for answers instead. By seeking and attaining control of the way you feel (the only thing you truly have any control over), you are living the unconditional love that so many spiritual teachers through the ages have spoken of. Unconditional love says “I’ll feel good regardless of what the conditions are, and I will love you regardless of what you might do or how you might be, because it feels natural to be loving towards you, and ‘off’ to be unloving towards you. I direct my thoughts in a way that I feel good. It may seem like a sacrifice, but I am doing it for me, not for you.” Conditional love says “When I see things I like, I feel good and when I see things I don’t, I don’t. So I need you to behave in a way that pleases me, never mind what pleases you.” So how can we live unconditional love and free ourselves and others to live joyous lives? By giving people the benefit of the doubt. By accepting that people are doing their best, by accepting that most of them don’t know the rules, and likely couldn’t hear it if we spoke it to them. By being who we really are; love.

Unfortunately the majority are trained away from their own true power as they grow up surrounded by people who are living conditional love. These well meaning caregivers need others to modify their behaviour in order for them to feel good. Unfortunately for you this trains you away from the only important thing in life; the way that you feel. The only thing of any importance to you, is the way that you feel. It determines everything that comes to you. Everything else really is irrelevant. So to get to this point where you can control the way you feel, and therefore how the world responds to you, you need to understand where your emotions come from and why they are so important to you.

What are the rules of this game we call life? Page one: How does life relate to you? Are you getting what you want in life? What determines one person’s success or personal achievement over another’s? How do some people live charmed lives while other struggle and seem to get nowhere? Is life all about luck or chance, and do we need to redistribute the world’s wealth to make things more even? How is it possible to make sense of such a large and complicated system?

There are a lot of questions here. But where to begin? Firstly, stop trying to think your way out and start to feel your way along the path. Your emotions are more powerful guidance than you probably realise; and if you can understand and use them effectively, they will guide you towards everything that you want in life. Anyway, before we talk about emotions, let’s talk about the Law of Attraction.

Law of Attraction takes care of orchestrating all things in life; matching up like and like vibrations in both physical and non-physical realities. It is fair to say that it’s worth knowing about (it’s really the only law worth talking about). Have you heard the expression “Birds of a Feather Flock Together”. This is what law of attraction does. It matches up like and like vibrations; essentially we attract to us things that are similar to who we are. Similar? In what way?

Think of yourself as a radio tuner. Any time you think a thought (which is all the time unless you’re asleep or meditating) you are tuning into a thought frequency, which law of attraction is matching up with like things; similar thoughts come at first, then similar things. You may have heard people say “Be careful what you wish for!” If you give your attention to any one thing for an extended period of time, and you will start to attract the essence of that thing into your life. You have tuned into a frequency which you will now start to see in your life. Things you give you attention to briefly start showing up everywhere as you have tuned into that frequency. It’s not that they weren’t there before, they were always there, it’s just that you see them because you’re on their frequency. High, bright, happy thoughts have a high vibrational frequency, and low, sad, depressing, angry thoughts have a lower frequency. The energy of your source vibrates at a very high fast pure vibration. If you dip to the low vibes, you will feel the difference between you and the source, God part of you.

In the real world, how does Law of Attraction work? If I copy successful people, will I become like them, successful? It depends. If the imitation of that person makes you feel like a successful person, then you will eventually achieve success, because law of attraction is only responding to the way you feel. If you act successful and still feel a failure, then the success you seek will continue to elude you until you feel better about your situation.
